    Director, Building Surveyor - Unrestricted

    Having been a building certifier since the young age of 25,I often wonder how many times in my life I’ve written ‘complies’, ‘does not comply’ or ‘not applicable’? From humble beginnings I am now proud to lead the Ventura Building Surveyors team in our Nationwide service delivery. That is not to say I’d rather be a lead singer in a band, or if I won the lottery I would circumnavigate Australia in a luxurious motorhome; sell it and then move to the next Country. I look forward to working with you.

    With over 25 years of building certification experience across NSW, the ACT and Queensland, I have worked on a broad range of projects spanning residential, commercial and complex developments. I began my career in regional NSW, and after building wide‑ranging industry experience, I have found myself back in the region—supporting local communities to turn their development goals into reality.I am proud to be a Partner and Leader at VBS NSW, where I support our teams, clients and ongoing business development. I bring a thorough, considered and client‑focused approach to compliance and enjoy guiding clients through the approvals process with clarity and confidence.Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my daughter, getting creative through sewing and photography, or—on occasion—convincing myself I enjoy the gym.

    Senior Building Surveyor - Unrestricted

    With more than 25 years’ experience across Australia and the UK, I specialise in Building Code Compliance and Certification for commercial, industrial, residential and government developments. My background spans certification, technical design and on-site project management and construction, giving me a strong understanding of the full development lifecycle. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, music and time outdoors and I’m currently debating buying a small boat which I’m told is a questionable but character-building investment.

    Certification Assistant

    Building certification felt like a natural progression from a career built around leadership, operations and delivering tangible outcomes in fast-moving environments. Bringing strong commercial discipline, an eye for detail and a practical approach to compliance, I focus on helping projects move efficiently while ensuring risk is well managed and outcomes remain clear and accountable.

    Outside of work, it’s family first. You’ll usually find me at the gym, watching movies, enjoying good coffee or being kept busy by my wife, son and energetic dog.
